Pet Check-in Process (Travelling With Owner)

This guide explains the typical check-in process for pets travelling with their owner from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).

Please note that procedures may vary slightly depending on the airline.

1. Arrive at the Airport

We recommend arriving approximately 3 hours before your international flight.

There is no need to arrive much earlier, as airline check-in counters usually open only a few hours before departure.

Bangkok Pet Taxi will drop you, your pet, luggage, and travel crate at your airline's departure entrance.

2. Airline Document Check

Proceed to your airline's check-in counter.

The airline staff will review your travel documents, including:

• Passport

• Flight ticket

• Pet Export Permit

• Health Certificate

• Vaccination Book

• Microchip information

• Destination country documents (if required)

If all documents are approved, the airline will continue with the pet check-in process.

3. Purchase the Pet Ticket

Most airlines require payment for pet transportation after the document check.

• Thai Airways: Pet fees are paid at the Airline Ticketing Counter on Level 4.

• Other airlines: Payment is usually made at the airline's ticket office on Level 6, depending on the carrier.

Procedures may differ by airline.

4. Passenger Check-in

After the pet transportation fee has been paid, return to the airline check-in counter to:

• Check in your luggage

• Receive your boarding pass

• Complete passenger check-in

5. Oversized Baggage Screening

If your pet is travelling as Checked Baggage (Excess Baggage), you will be directed to the Oversized Baggage Screening Area (Door Y2).

Typical procedures include:

• X-ray inspection of the travel crate

• Final inspection by airport staff

• Filling the water container

• Securing food (if required)

• Saying goodbye to your pet before the crate is accepted for loading

Once the crate is accepted, the airline takes responsibility for your pet until arrival.

6. Immigration & Boarding

After your pet has been checked in, continue through:

• Immigration

• Security screening

• Departure gate

Your pet will travel on the same flight according to the airline's approved transport method.

In-Cabin & Service Animals

If your pet is travelling in the cabin or as a service animal, the oversized baggage (Door Y2) process is generally not required.

You will continue through normal passenger security and immigration procedures while following your airline's specific instructions.

This guide explains the typical check-in process for pets travelling with their owner on a domestic Nok Air flight from Don Mueang International Airport (DMK).

1. Arrive at the Airport

Bangkok Pet Taxi will drop you, your pet, travel crate, and luggage at the Nok Air departure terminal.

We recommend arriving according to your airline's check-in time.

2. Check In at the Nok Air Counter

Take your pet in its travel crate directly to the Nok Air check-in counter.

Airline staff will verify:

• Passenger booking

• Pet information

• Travel crate size

• Required domestic travel documents

3. Pet Transportation

Nok Air does not allow pets to travel in the passenger cabin.

Pets are transported in the aircraft's Live Animal compartment, a dedicated area designed for live animal transportation.

This service is suitable for:

• Kittens

• Adult cats

• Small dog breeds that meet the airline's size requirements

4. Pet Transportation Fee

The airline charges the pet transportation fee directly.

Typical cost:

THB 1,500–2,500 per pet

The final price depends on your pet's weight and the airline's current pricing policy.

5. Flight Departure

After completing check-in, your pet will be accepted by the airline and prepared for loading before departure.

You can then proceed through passenger security screening and continue to your boarding gate.
